Job Title: Janitorial Services Manager - Facilities Support Services
Annual Salary: $50,000-$65,000 (based on interview and experience).
Location: Charleston, SC
Job Summary:
Support the operational excellence of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Charleston and Naval Weapons Station, SC by leading campus-wide custodial operations. As LAUKOA's Janitorial Services Manager, you will oversee day-to-day cleaning services for classrooms, administrative spaces, and high-traffic common areas. Your leadership will ensure a safe, sanitary, and mission-ready environment that supports law enforcement training and federal operational standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage all janitorial and housekeeping operations across the FLETC Charleston complex, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Supervising janitorial staff and team leads across multiple shifts to ensure full coverage and service continuity.
  • Schedule routine and deep-cleaning services, including floor care, carpet cleaning, high dusting, window washing, and waste removal.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including OSHA, EPA, and contract-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify performance; document findings and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain supply inventories, coordinate procurement, approving material/supply orders of cleaning products, paper goods, and janitorial equipment.
  • Train staff on safe chemical handling, PPE use, bloodborne pathogens, and infection control procedures.
  • Respond to service requests and emergency clean-ups in accordance with contract response time standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, inspection reports, and supply usage.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping, including timely entry of hours in timecard and Costpoint systems.
  • Monitor and manage employee timekeeping to ensure accurate, timely entry, validation, and approval of labor hours in timecard and Costpoint systems in compliance with company and contract requirements.
  • Supervise and manage assigned personnel, including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating onboarding, and ensuring completion of required training and certifications.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to staff, while identifying training needs and ensuring compliance with organizational and contract requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate purchase reconciliation information for purchases, including submission of required cost codes and supporting documentation on a weekly basis in accordance with company financial procedures.
  • Provide required reporting to management for government deliverables and invoicing (if applicable).

Qualifications:
  • Shall possess at least three (3) years of recent experience supervising commercial or institutional janitorial services, with responsibility for staff management, scheduling, inspections, and supply control.
  • Strong knowledge of modern cleaning techniques, equipment, safety procedures, and green cleaning practices.
  • Familiarity with infection control, universal precautions, and health code requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting/documentation systems.
  • Proficient in oral and written communications in English.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable adjudication via a DHS background investigation and maintain suitability clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
