About Ascension St. John Sportsplex
Ascension St. John Sportsplex, part of the FC Tulsa Training Facility, is Tulsa's premier multi-sport and entertainment complex. The facility hosts a variety of local and regional sporting events, tournaments, and community programs year-round. This is a rare opportunity to combine operational experience with community impact, helping support an environment that serves athletes, families, and fans across multiple sports.
Position Summary
The Facilities (Janitorial) Operations position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the Sportsplex. This role plays a vital part in ensuring all playing surfaces, restrooms, public areas, and event spaces meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation before, during, and after events.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a team that contributes to the success of Tulsa's top sports and entertainment destination.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily custodial and janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and surface sanitization.
  • Set up and break down facility spaces for practices, games, tournaments, and special events.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, restocking supplies, and facility checks.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all public and staff areas throughout the facility.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory of janitorial and facility supplies, reporting needs to the Operations Manager.
  • Support the operations team during events to ensure quick turnaround and a professional appearance.
  • Identify and report any safety or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Uphold all facility standards and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility operations experience preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as part of daily duties.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
