The responsibilities of a janitorial manager, also referred to as a janitorial supervisor, include managing a team of cleaners at client locations, assigning cleaning jobs to workers based on their skills, and inspecting completed work to ensure it meets the standards set by the client and state or federal laws. Other duties include maintaining schedule coordination between workers, providing an inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensuring cleaning equipment functions properly. In this role, you are in direct contact with the client to answer questions promptly and solve issues that arise. You also assist the cleaning team as needed, help hire and train new custodians, and ensure work is complete.
