Job description

Janitor - Maintenance

Location: Saginaw, MI, 48607

General Summary

The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for performing janitorial work required for routine cleaning, upkeep of building and grounds, vehicles and bus shelters under general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Inspects Authority vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards and regulations.
  2. Perform heavy cleaning duties and routine maintenance.
  3. Notify managers concerning the need for repairs to the building, grounds, vehicles and bus shelters.
  4. Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  5. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Assistant General Manager – Maintenance.
Examination/Screening

Selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
