Job Title: CDL Driver with Hazmat Endorsement

Location: Denham Springs, LA
Compensation: $100,000+ annual salary potential

Jakes Fireworks is a leading name in the fireworks industry, with 9 distribution centers across the United States and over 500 retail stores. We are seeking skilled, safety-focused CDL Drivers with Hazmat endorsements to join our transportation team in Denham Springs, LA.

Job Description:
As a CDL Driver with Hazmat endorsement at Jakes Fireworks, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting fireworks and related products to our distribution centers, retail stores, and customer locations. This role is critical to our seasonal and year-round operations and requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and DOT compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Transport hazardous materials in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Ensure proper loading, securement, and unloading of fireworks and related products.
  • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and DOT-required records.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials transportation.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, customers, and management.
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing Jakes Fireworks.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL required.
  • Hazmat endorsement required or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
