As we continue expanding our Accounting & Tax Department, we are looking for a motivated bilingual professional who is eager to grow with our team and provide exceptional service to our clients.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual (Spanish/English) Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer to assist with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services for individuals and small business clients. This client-facing role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping records for a portfolio of small business clients, including accounts payable/receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and process payroll for clients, including payroll tax filings.
  • Prepare individual (1040) and small business (1120, 1120-S, 1065, Schedule C) federal and Georgia state tax returns.
  • Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish to gather financial documents, answer questions, and explain filings and deadlines.
  • Review bookkeeping records and identify discrepancies for correction.
  • Assist clients with sales tax filings and quarterly estimated tax payments, as needed.
  • Assist with responding to basic IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue notices under supervision.
  • Maintain organized, confidential client files in accordance with firm data security policies.
  • Support front-office operations during peak tax season, including scheduling and greeting walk-in clients.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish and English
  • 1+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (Online).
  • PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number), or ability to obtain one before tax season.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Drake Tax Software.
  • Prior experience at a public accounting or tax preparation firm
