Job Description: This in-office/hybrid role involves working three days in the office and two days remote at a location in Arkansas. The position supports a claims team handling complex commercial auto casualty claims and property/homeowner claims. The candidate will be responsible for conducting coverage investigations, liability determinations, damage evaluations and negotiating settlements when appropriate. The role requires managing claims from initial assignment through resolution, providing excellent customer service and supporting team collaboration. This position is temporary, supporting the team through the end of October 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a mix of commercial auto claims including dealership-related cases.
- Manage property and homeowner claims, assessing actual cash value damages.
- Complete coverage analysis, liability, and damages evaluations.
- Conduct investigation planning and record important statements.
- Document key claim communications and findings clearly.
- Support a small, collaborative team by making quick, informed decisions.
- Assist with onsite office needs such as greeting customers when in the office.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial auto casualty claims handling experience
- Active Arkansas adjuster license
- Experience handling first-party property, auto damage, third-party liability, and both personal and commercial lines claims
- Strong fundamentals in coverage analysis, liability and damages evaluation
- Ability to conduct investigation planning and record statements efficiently
- Understanding of duty owed, breach, coverage, liability and damages
- Excellent reading comprehension and rapid learning ability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with Guidewire or InsuranceNow (preferred)
- Must be able to commute within approximately 30 minutes of Arkansas office
Pay Range: The anticipated pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.
