Jacobs Auto Group is a fast-growing new car dealership and a dynamic pre-owned vehicle leader in the automotive retail industry. Our company growth is rapidly increasing with new positions and locations. We are a company that has a philosophy of a family atmosphere with a corporate structure. We strive to ensure that our team members have the support they need to succeed. We are looking to add an Experienced Automotive Service Advisor to our team that's well versed with new and used vehicles along with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Qualifications and requirements for a successful candidate:
  • Experience with all models including high-end performance luxury (preferred).
  • Former DMS Experience
  • Answers incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously, and makes every effort to satisfy the caller's inquiry.
  • Departs from traditional ways of doing things to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Schedule appointments and follow-ups.
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance
  • Greeting all customers promptly; provides timely professional service.
  • Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, asking questions to identify service needs, resolving customer concerns, and sells additional services when appropriate.
  • Estimates cost and completion time/settles customer accounts.
  • Communicates with customer about status of work.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure repair work is fixed right the first time and completed on time.
  • Obtains the customer's written approval on all repair orders at the time of the write-up or when closing additional add-on sales. Inspects every finished repair order for proper completion, and pricing accuracy, and legibility.
  • Meets or exceeds goals for add-on sales.
  • Delivers vehicle in perfect condition.
  • Maintains excellent CSI.
  • Identifies repeat customers/first time customer and treats them accordingly.
  • Contacts customers to remind them of service appointments and/or when scheduled maintenance is due.
  • Eliminates surprises for customer by reviewing service repairs and their associated charges to ensure accuracy.
  • Promptly addresses and resolves customer viewpoint and service follow-up issues.
  • MINIMUM One to 2 years experience as a dealership automotive service advisor.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repairs and how to explain repairs and maintenance.
  • Proficient on the computer
  • Operate both standard and automatic vehicles
  • Provide non-technical explanation of technical repairs to customers
  • Identify the key item the customer wants repaired and analyze the customers' problems and needs
  • Friendly and outgoing manner
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic and Ability to work a predictable and consistent work schedule as determined by management and business needs
  • Able to work Saturdays.
  • Strong attention to detail
