The Apollo Health Care Center is seeking a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor who is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health issues. This full-time remote position offers a yearly salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Conduct thorough, comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet those needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapy services utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, to support clients with diverse mental health challenges.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers and psychiatrists, to deliver coordinated care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Offer crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental distress, employing appropriate de-escalation techniques and support mechanisms.
• Participate in community outreach and mental health education initiatives to enhance awareness and encourage individuals to seek support, promoting overall mental health in the Fresno community.

You will work with a wide array of clients presenting various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. Our clinic emphasizes cultural competence and sensitivity, acknowledging and respecting the varied backgrounds of our clients, allowing us to provide the highest standard of care.

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital; candidates must be capable of establishing rapport and building effective therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated cultural competence is necessary to provide effective therapy and support to clients from varied backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities are crucial for maintaining accurate and timely client documentation.

• Previous experience working within community mental health settings is highly desirable.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions and track client progress would be advantageous.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities would be considered a plus.
