Job description

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for physician office clinical quality measures, incentive programs, quality education of clinical staff and infection control of a multi-specialty physician practice system. The responsibilities of this position include coordination of data collection, clinic quality improvement initiatives, and incentive programs. This individual demonstrates personal and professional responsibility, creates and maintains an environment that promotes mutual trust, acceptance, recognition and respect, and assumes responsibility for own professional development. Tracks and reports on pertinent clinical, financial, and quality data for the Jackson Clinic. Functions as a resource for all Jackson Clinic employees for clinical quality and provides education to staff in order to meet clinical quality data measures. Responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of quality-based initiative programs such as PCMH recognition, MIPS, and Value Based Payment with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Reviews clinical documentation of physicians and works with Administrator and Revenue Cycle Director to ensure appropriate documentation. Responsible for the orientation, training, and development of office for clinical staff. Assists the Administrator with employee performance evaluations. Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of office policies and procedures. Handles routine issues pertaining to billing, patient satisfaction, and physician needs. Performs any other duties as deemed by Clinic Administrator.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing. Active Alabama Registered Nursing License. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Telephone etiquette, customer relations' skills required. Must be computer literate. Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to utilize the PC and calculator. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must have verbal communication and hearing ability to communicate with a multitude of patients and customers. Must be able to lift 25 pounds without difficulty.
