Route Driver – Jackson, MI

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3rd Shift
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Maumee Valley Group is looking for a dependable and physically fit Route Driver to service our customer location at Gerdau in Jackson, Michigan.

This position is responsible for the daily servicing of coffee machines, including restocking product, cleaning machines, and completing basic upkeep to ensure the machines are clean, organized, stocked, and operating properly.

This is an independent position that requires someone who is reliable, comfortable working overnight, and able to maintain consistent service standards without constant supervision.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Travel to and service the Gerdau facility in Jackson, Michigan.
  • Service coffee machines every day according to company standards.
  • Restock coffee, beverages, supplies, and other required products.
  • Rotate products and check expiration dates.
  • Remove expired or damaged products.
  • Clean and maintain coffee machines and surrounding areas.
  • Perform basic machine upkeep and identify issues requiring additional maintenance.
  • Keep machines organized, clean, and properly stocked.
  • Carry product and supplies up and down stairs throughout the shift.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and service records.
  • Follow all customer and company safety requirements.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customer personnel.
  • Report any service issues, product shortages, equipment problems, or customer concerns to management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
  • Complete all assigned route responsibilities independently and on schedule.
Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:

  • Repeatedly lift and carry approximately 10 lbs. of product and supplies throughout the shift.
  • Carry product continuously up and down stairs at the customer facility.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, reach, push, pull, and maneuver products and equipment.
  • Perform repetitive stocking, cleaning, and servicing tasks.
  • Safely perform the physical requirements of the position throughout the entire shift.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift, Monday–Friday.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow established service and cleaning procedures.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial customer environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • Previous route delivery, vending, coffee service, warehouse, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
