Job description

Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Locker Room Attendant is to greet members and their guests and to ensure that the Club consistently provides the highest level of service possible. The overall appearance, cleanliness and orderliness of the locker rooms are of the utmost importance, while maintaining the strict confidentiality of all Club business.
This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.
Job Responsibilities
  • Greets the members and guests in a professional manner.
  • Stocks the locker room with the appropriate towels, cleaning supplies and personal accessories. Reports shortages to Locker Room Manager.
  • Maintains a neat and clean environment by consistently vacuuming all areas including the gentlemen's locker room and ladies' locker room, men's grill rest rooms and card rooms, straightening chairs, benches, and tables, dusting all lockers, cleaning all vanities, toilets and wet storage areas, and maintaining an orderly shine room and storage areas.
  • Properly cares for members' shoes. This includes cleaning and polishing members' shoes and spike replacement.
  • Inspect local members' green jackets for cleanliness. Report jackets in need of cleaning to Manager, Locker Room.
  • Assists with the serving of food and drinks to members and guests.
  • Follows proper procedures for opening and closing side work as prescribed by Club management.
  • Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an important part of the job
  • Physical demands are outlined immediately below.

Physical Demands
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
  • Constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
  • The Locker Room Attendant must be able to communicate in a professional manner and make the members and guest feel welcome.

Relative Experience/Education:
  • 0 -2 years of experience in a private club, hospitality, or similar service environment.
  • Locker room attendant experience preferred.
  • Prior service experience with Augusta National Golf Club may substitute for locker room attendant experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Required License(s):
  • Possess a valid driver's license and/or successfully completes the Club's internal motor vehicle training program

Projected Work Schedule:
Must be available for a varying work schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
