Network Engineer
Herndon, VA
 
Juniper SE Labs (JSEL) - Datacenter Technician
Proficient in basic networking, equipment installation, provisioning and maintenance. 
Prior experience with datacenter, enterprise, servers, storage, and telco networking equipment is preferred.
 
Skills & Requirements:
Experience using power tools, cage nuts, and the ability to handle heavy equipment (50lb+) in conjunction with server lift tools.
Knowledge and experience with server hardware and installation (4-post rail kits, virtual console, etc.).
Knowledge and experience with ethernet cabling and transceiver standards & types commonly used in the industry (SMF, MMF, MTP/MPO, CAT6-RJ45, 1Gbe – 800Gbe standards, DAC, AOC, etc.)
Experience with physical setup & provisioning of network appliances (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
Administrative experience with CentOS, RedHat, Debian, and other Linux distributions is preferred.
Administrative experience with Windows and VMware is preferred.
Experience with network testers (IXIA, Spirent, etc.) is preferred.
Knowledge of standard network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Dynamic routing
protocols, SSH/SCP/SFTP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, CIFS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP is preferred.
