Overview
Ivybrook Academy, a progressive Montessori and Reggio Emilia inspired preschool, seeks a highly qualified, dedicated and passionate Director of Curriculum. In this extremely rewarding position, you will assume ultimate responsibility for creating and maintaining an educational, loving and nurturing environment for our families and educators.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong understanding of curriculum and a clear commitment to the highest of standards in early childhood education. He or she must have a sense of humor and understand the flexibility needed in a school setting! We are seeking a Director of Curriculum who has demonstrated the essential skills required in establishing effective relationships with our educators, our parents and most importantly our students.

This position requires excellent leadership, organizational, marketing and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service. We offer a competitive salary, a large amount of paid time off and more!

Duties

  • Oversee the school’s curriculum coordination among the educators and assist with implementation
  • Establish a safe, healthy, and welcoming preschool setting and oversee programs and activities to engage and educate young children.
  • Develop open lines of communication with educators, parents, and students—and conduct one-on-one meetings with parents to discuss each child's progress.
  • Build and support a qualified team of early childhood educators to continually enhance our superior reputation in early-childhood education.
  • Assist with Marketing school and generating leads for enrollment. Attend marketing events with Director of Administration as needed.
  • Upon start of role, develop a deep understanding of franchise processes, procedures and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Required) with at least 12 college credit hours in child development and six college credit hours in management
  • Instruction/Education/Curriculum Implementation in a licensed child care center: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Director License/Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • Participate in marketing events, campaigns, and community relations.
  • Provide unparalleled customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
