Job description

Bartender – Willow & Ivy

A warm smile says welcome home. Since 1900, The Lenox has been a beloved Back Bay landmark—an independent hotel known for its character, creativity, and genuine hospitality. We empower our team to surprise and delight guests in thoughtful, memorable ways. For many travelers, The Lenox becomes their home in Boston, and our team is at the heart of that experience.

We’re seeking a Bartender for Willow & Ivy and The Irving who will bring both skill and personality to the bar. If you love creating beautifully balanced cocktails, enjoy connecting with guests, and thrive in a polished yet welcoming environment, this is an opportunity to be part of something special.

You’ll work across our three unique dining outlets:

Sweeney’s on Boylston. A lively neighborhood favorite serving authentic Irish classics and Lenox staples. Always spirited, always welcoming.

The Irving at The Lenox. An intimate lobby cocktail bar with turn‑of‑the‑century charm, known for beautifully crafted cocktails and a sense of intrigue.

Willow & Ivy. Led by Executive Chef Daniel Kenney, Willow & Ivy offers a fresh, refined take on New England–inspired American cuisine in a reimagined, inviting space.

  • Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and hotel guidelines
  • Support the dining room team as needed to maintain smooth service flow
  • Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Uphold the high standards of hospitality that define Willow & Ivy and The Lenox

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a high‑end restaurant, bar, or hotel required
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and classic cocktail technique
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest engagement
  • Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Multilingual candidates are a plus
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Sunday & Monday availability required.

Benefits

  • Affordable medical, dental, long‑ & short‑term disability, and AD&D coverage
