What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with high-risk pregnancies, including assessments, vital signs, and patient history
  • Administer medications, including insulin and immunizations, and perform specimen collection
  • Use external fetal monitoring (EFM) and interpret lab results
  • Assist with labor and delivery procedures
  • Conduct patient education about pregnancy, medication management, and health maintenance
  • Handle pharmacy calls, patient refill requests, and telephone triage
  • Ensure compliance with biohazard waste disposal and medication reconciliation protocols

What You Need

Required:
  • Valid RN license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN/high-risk OB RN experience
  • Ability to bring and use your own stethoscope
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records
Preferred:
  • Experience with external fetal monitoring (EFM)
  • Knowledge of women's health procedures such as insulin administration and specimen labeling
  • Ability to perform medication reconciliation and manage lab specimen collection

About the Assignment This role involves assisting in high-risk OB and OB/GYN clinics, providing critical care to adolescents and adult patients with complex pregnancies, including IVF, GDM, and twin pregnancies. The clinic operates with a team dedicated to delivering exceptional women's health services, utilizing EPIC for electronic health records. The shift is scheduled from 07:30 to 16:00, with no call, float, or weekend requirements, offering a stable and predictable schedule.
