About This Role

The Ambulatory Care Nurse (FGP) - OB/GYN, IVF at NYU Langone Health will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies. This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse looking to provide comprehensive care and collaborate with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans of care.

What You'll Do
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
  • Collect patient health history
  • Record information in electronic health record
  • Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans
  • Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage
  • Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia
  • Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients
  • Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians

RequirementsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required; Associate Degree in Nursing may be approved contingent upon approval from Nursing Leadership
Experience
  • Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification preferred
