The IT Systems Analyst works with all levels of the Information Technology team as well as Business Users to analyze, design, document, train, implement and/or support business applications and systems for the Commercial Auto line of business.

Merchants offers its colleagues a Hybrid work schedule. The Hybrid work schedule requires 2 full days per week in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • The IT systems Analyst works with all levels of information technology and business users to analyze, design, document, train, implement and/or support business application and systems.
  • Functions as a project coordinator for small to medium sized projects.
  • Participates in testing efforts for projects by developing or coordinating detailed test plans, test case scenarios and defect logs for all assigned projects.
  • Provides system training to users as needed. Provides consulting guidance and evaluation of business requirements, functional specifications, test plans and resolution of user problems for any product as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years' diverse insurance background sufficient enough to provide insight into the areas of rating, service, underwriting, claims, marketing and statistical reporting.
  • Commercial Auto insurance experience is a plus.
  • Highly proficient computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to multi-task and set/achieve deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Merchants Insurance Group Pay information:
Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale. The estimated salary for this role ranges from $60,000 - $88,000 based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package. This range is merely an estimate; actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience and qualifications.
