**13-Week Contract | Variable Shifts | Hilo, Hawaii**
We're hiring an experienced **Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse** for an exciting travel opportunity in **Hilo, Hawaii**. Join a dedicated surgical services team providing exceptional pre-op and post-anesthesia patient care.
**Requirements:**
• Active **Hawaii RN License** *(or apply upon offer acceptance; license required before start)*
• Minimum **3 years of PACU experience** or **Critical Care (ICU/ER) experience**
• Current **BLS, ACLS, and PALS** (AHA)
• PACU, ICU, or ER background preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
**Assignment Details:**
• **13-week contract**
• Variable **8, 10, or 12-hour shifts**
• Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays as needed
• No guaranteed hours or shift preference
• On-call: 0–3 shifts per month
• W-2 employment only (No 1099)
**Responsibilities:**
• Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and interventions
• Monitor vital signs, airway, pain management, and post-op complications
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely
• Operate Meditech, Pyxis, PCA pumps, Braun IV pumps, and patient monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure safe discharge planning
