They manage pharmacy staff, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and coordinate workflow related to sterile compounding. The supervisor is also responsible for quality assurance, staff training, and maintaining proper documentation to support patient safety and effective medication therapy.

How does an IV Pharmacy Supervisor typically collaborate with other healthcare professionals within a hospital setting?

An IV Pharmacy Supervisor works closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, and physicians to ensure the safe and accurate preparation of intravenous medications. They oversee the workflow in the IV room, coordinate with nursing staff regarding patient-specific needs, and help resolve any medication-related issues that arise.
