Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. This individual interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRI technical, and other issues, and demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment, prepares scan room - equipment, supplies and medications. This individual also maintains images and archives associated with patient data. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
One to three years of experience is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Graduate of an JCERT approved two-year or four-year radiologic technology, nuclear medicine program, or MRI program is required.
Two or four year college degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business or other related degree is preferred.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
