Position: MRI Technologist

Shift: Variable
Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 2:00 PM-11:00 PM | Fri: 2:30 PM-10:00 PM | Sat-Sun: 6:30 AM-6:30 PM | 30-34 Hours/Week | Weekends Required | No On-Call | Non-Float Position | Manager will confirm schedule directly
Required Experience
Required
  • Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection.
  • Ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required.
Preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience.
  • Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one (1) year of current clinical experience.
Education
Required
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved two (2) year or four (4) year Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or MRI program.
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • ARRT and/or ARMRIT Registry through a JRCERT-approved education program.
  • Advanced ARRT-MR Certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Required Skills
  • IV Insertion, Contrast Injection, Assimilation of New Procedures, Clinical Experience, Clinical Student Experience.

Job Summary
Performs MRI studies under the direction of a Radiologist and oversight of a Senior MRI Technologist. Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a resource for MRI technical and related issues while demonstrating competency according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment, prepares scan room equipment, supplies and medications, maintains patient images and archives associated with patient data, and performs other duties as assigned.
