The ideal candidate will have experience in administering infusion therapies and have a strong commitment to providing high quality patient centered care in a supportive environment and excellent communication, critical thinking and organizational skills. Strong IV insertion and port access skills needed.
Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions and medications accurately following established protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on their infusion treatments, medication side effects, and self-care procedures to promote understanding and compliance
- Monitor patients continously during infusion therapy for adverse reactions or complications, responding swiftly with appropriate interventions.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control standards and sterile processing protocols during all procedures.
Requirements
Requiremets:
- Valid Texas Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS Certification
- Proven experience in infusion therapy, including IV insertion, catheter care, and medication administration
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize early signs of adverse reactions or complications
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
