To thrive in IV Hydration roles, you need strong clinical skills in intravenous therapy, a nursing degree, and active licensure (such as RN or LPN) depending on state requirements. Experience with infusion pumps, sterile technique, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to reassure and educate clients are essential to succeed in this position. These competencies ensure client safety, high-quality service, and smooth workflow in a client-focused health and wellness environment.
An IV Hydration job involves administering intravenous fluids, vitamins, and electrolytes to clients to help with hydration, recovery, and overall wellness. Professionals in this role, often nurses or paramedics, assess patient needs, start IV lines, and monitor for any reactions. IV Hydration therapy is commonly used for dehydration, athletic recovery, immune support, and hangover relief.
A typical day in IV Hydration therapy involves preparing and administering IV infusions, assessing client eligibility, monitoring vital signs, and educating clients about the process and benefits. You’ll interact directly with clients in a clinic or mobile setting, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians or wellness specialists, is common, especially when consulting on clients’ care plans. You’ll also be expected to maintain accurate records, follow proper sanitation procedures, and manage inventory of medical supplies. Over time, experience in this role can open opportunities for advancement into lead nurse, clinic manager, or wellness program coordinator positions.

wHydrate Newnan is a wellness-focused IV hydration and vitamin therapy med spa offering IV infusions, IM injections, and wellness services in a comfortable, upscale, spa-like environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Lead Infusion Specialist (Registered Nurse or Paramedic) to join and help lead our growing team.
Our Infusion Specialists work in modern storefront clinics with standard retail hours, providing exceptional client care in a lower-stress environment compared to traditional hospital settings. Enjoy predictable retail hours, no overnight shifts, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with repeat clients while helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.
