Job Opportunity – Long Term Care Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Variable shifts available – choose between 3x12 or 4x12 schedules (days or nights based on facility needs at start). Patient ratio 1:20. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Contract length flexible: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler's choice).

Requirements:

  • Valid Alaska RN license in hand prior to submission (no pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with previous travel nursing experience required
  • Long term care experience required
  • BLS certification current and valid
  • Skills required: oxygen administration, peripheral line care, isolation precautions/PPE
  • Experience with LTC procedures including Accuchecks, PEG tube feedings, wound care, respiratory treatments, phlebotomy, and IV hydration
  • Current Hepatitis B vaccination documentation (or willingness to be vaccinated/obtain medical exemption)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from facility location (local candidates not accepted)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance with rental car coverage (if accepting facility vehicle)
  • Must be at least 25 years old to qualify for facility-provided rental vehicle
  • Willingness to work at least 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
