IV drip nurses, also known as infusion nurses, are registered nurses who specialize in administering medications, fluids, or nutrients directly into a patient's bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. Their responsibilities include inserting IV lines, monitoring patients during infusions, ensuring sterility and safety, and managing any potential side effects or complications. They work in hospitals, clinics, and specialized infusion centers, and may also educate patients about the procedure and aftercare. IV drip nurses play a crucial role in patient care by delivering treatments efficiently and safely.

Outstanding attention to detail, patient communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are vital soft skills. These abilities ensure safe, effective IV therapy administration and positive patient outcomes in clinical or outpatient settings.
