Job description

Landmark Healthcare Inc. is seeking a licensed Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join our Home Infusion Pharmacy. We are looking for someone who is able to work Monday through Friday, full-time hours. Our ideal candidate is a licensed pharmacy technician with an active IV certification and sterile compounding experience. Infusion Pharmacy Technician: Full Time (Irving, TX)

Duties include:

  • · Assist with Infusion Pharmacy processing, dispensing and delivery.
  • · Intake, verification, medication preparation, sterile compounding, packing, and delivery.
  • · Communicate heavily with Pharmacists, referrals, Patients and caregivers.
  • · Maintain timely and accurate written and digital Pharmacy records, and are heavy users of Landmark computer information systems.
  • · Landmark Pharmacy Technicians work under the direct supervision of a Landmark Pharmacist, assisting with intake procedures for new patients and preparing infusion products for dispensing.
  • · Prepare and organize dispensed medication, including calculating quantities, assembling solutions, mixing components, packaging product, and preparing labels.
  • · Assist with inventory management, including maintaining medicine and supply inventory, checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels, ordering inventory, checking pricing accuracy, counting and receiving items, and otherwise controlling inventory.
  • · Use sterile compounding in the clean room to compound infusion medications.
  • · Must be able to adhere to all standards, procedures, cleaning protocols, and infection control policies.
  • · Responsible for clean room readiness, including maintaining a safe and clean medication area, sterile room, and laminar flow hoods.
  • · Maintain infusion pumps and supplies and are proficient in programming, training, tracking, and cleaning infusion pumps.
  • · Adhere to all Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations, Landmark policies and procedures, Federal and Texas laws, and Joint Commission standards.
  • · Technicians will also on occasion, perform other duties as required.

Full Time Pharmacy Technician Requirements:

  • · Current Pharmacy Technician Certification in State of Texas is a Must
  • · Current IV Certification is preferred
  • · Handling a Fast Pace Environment is Required
  • · Must have experience with sterile compounding in a clean room
  • · Experience in Infusion Pharmacy settings is a Plus
  • · Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Must be flexible on working hours into the evening. (No late nights or overnight shifts.)
  • · Pharmacy software experience is a Plus
  • · Spotless Background Check is Required
  • · Excellent Communication Skills are Required
  • · Customer Service attitude is Required
  • · Strong Computer Experience is Required
