Caliber Mechanical is a locally owned HVAC, Plumbing and Refrigeration specialist based in Palmer Alaska, Serving commercial, and residential clients across Southcentral and rural Alaska. Including Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley, Copper River Valley, and beyond. We deliver high-integrity, technically advanced services tailored to Alaska’s most demanding environments—from hospitals and data centers to homes in remote communities.

We’re known for technical problem solving, design assist and design build consulting, working within various facility types, emergency and rural response teams ready 24/7, and residential heating, plumbing, and emergency repair services crafted for extreme weather conditions.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems, including gas, heating oil and electric units, heat pumps, air conditioners, hydronic systems, and related components. You don’t have to know everything, but we do ask that you have a willingness to learn. As a team we support each other to WIN. You’ll be the go-to expert for keeping systems running eQiciently in Alaska’s unique climate.

What You’ll Do

•        Perform scheduled maintenance and filter changes

•        Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and components

•        Communicate clearly with customers and team members

•        Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship

•        Perform conceptual design HVAC Equipment retrofits, Boilers with all fuel types, Specialty piping, refrigeration, anything mechanical.

•        Respond to emergency service calls when needed

•        Proven experience in commercial or residential HVAC service

•        Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

•        Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

•        Applicable trade licenses and certifications

•        Positive attitude, adaptability, and initiative
