Job description

This position provides exceptional member service via a digital platform. The ITM Teller will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the ITM Teller Center with prompt and professional quality service to current and prospective credit union members via Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) technology. The functions of this position include processing requested financial transactions, providing solutions, answering questions, identifying and suggesting BayPort products and services to help our members' achieve their dreams.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Meets or exceeds sales and service goals.
  • Receives, inspects, and verifies cash and negotiable instruments for deposit, accepts loan payments and performs a variety of other functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Enhances the member's experience by providing exceptional, professional and consistent service using ITM technology
  • Projects a professional and friendly image at all times.
  • Follows applicable security, member identification, and fraud prevention policies, procedures and practices.
  • Provides consistently high quality member service; add value to members by recognizing opportunities where our products and services may be beneficial and referring them to other departments and employees when appropriate.
  • Maintains willingness and flexibility to work in shifts to accommodate the extended operating hours and business needs of the Teller Center.
  • Attends training classes to continuously increase job knowledge and overall job performance in order to provide an increased level of service to our members. Takes initiative for personal career development and seeks opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Teller Center management.

Qualifications:
Required Education: Education up to the equivalent of a four-year high school education.
Required Experience: Previous teller, retail, and/or customer service experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Bi-lingual abilities (English/Spanish) are highly desirable.
  • Strong member service skills to include telephone and video skills, well-organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to speak effectively with excellent Telephone/Video etiquette.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving acumen.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of BayPort Credit Union's products and services, and ITM Teller Center guidelines.
  • Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
