Import Purchasing Agent

Just Tile & Marble | Delray Beach, FL

Just Tile & Marble is looking for an experienced Import Purchasing Agent to oversee our international purchasing and importing operations from Italy. This person will manage the process from placing orders with Italian factories through container shipment, customs, and delivery to our warehouse.


Responsibilities

  • Place and manage purchase orders with Italian factories
  • Review proforma invoices and coordinate payments to suppliers
  • Communicate with factories regarding orders, production, pricing, and timelines
  • Manage and coordinate container loading and consolidation
  • Track shipments from Italy through final delivery
  • Work directly with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation companies
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, containers, payments, and incoming materials
  • Identify and resolve shipping delays, discrepancies, and other issues


Qualifications

  • Experienced Import Purchasing Agent or similar international logistics role
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong experience with international importing and overseas suppliers
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Ability to manage multiple orders, factories, and containers simultaneously
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Experience importing from Italy or Europe strongly preferred
  • Experience with tile, stone, or building materials is a plus
