IT Professionals for Municipal Government Entity Management Applications, Inc., a leading provider of Managed IT Services and Network Management, Design and Implementation is seeking high-level IT Professionals to support a municipal government entity. Background: The entity currently runs a Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 R2 server environment with workstations running Windows 7 or Windows XP Professional. These workstations connect via basic network shares to the servers, which serve as basic file and application servers

Most servers reside in a VMWare virtual environment with some physical servers. The entity Buildings on the entity's central block are connected via fiber with extended WAN connections to other entity Buildings via both fiber and MPLS circuits. Desktop workstations consist of a combination of physical desktops and VMWare view workstations operating in a linked clone environment with multiple desktop pools supporting entity and Emergency Services.

The entity also utilizes a Server for an AVAYA IP Office phone system. The Server and phone system support is provided by Tri-Com Systems, Inc. Job Responsibilities and Necessary Experience: Initial Review of IT environment/processes and IT Asset Inventory Desktop Application Support-Basic support functions including installation and troubleshooting.

Server Administration Services-Monitoring systems and network. Complex application and database support. Setup new users.

Performance and capacity management. Network Administration Services-Administer over all network devices and peripherals (Cisco, iBoss, HP, Xerox). Capacity and traffic management.

Configuration and change management. Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. Patches and upgrades.

IT Security-Virus and spam support. Perform security audits. Configure remote access.

Resolve security breaches. Additional Support Services-Project and system enhancement implementations. Maintain Inventory.

Preventative Maintenance. Documentation. MUNIS Financial Software.

VoIP support. VMWare support. Certifications: PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma IT certifications from Cisco, CompTIA, VMWare, Avaya, Microsoft, HP, Xerox, iBoss etc.
