Job description

PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking a Quality Assurance & Testing Analyst for a position in Jericho, NY, with one of our top clients.

Duration: 6 Months (With Possible Extension)
Job Type: Contract
Experience Required: 8 -10 Years
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance & Testing Analyst to support an OMS Upgrade Project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience testing large and complex ADMS/OMS applications, preferably GEV ADMS v3.11 or higher, along with hands-on experience developing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for complex ADMS/OMS applications.
  • Review business, functional, and technical requirements and design documentation to understand testing needs.
  • Work closely with Development, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders to clarify requirements and testing expectations.
  • Identify and document questions or gaps in a clarification tracker and ensure all testing-related questions are resolved before test execution.
  • Define testing scope, including in-scope and out-of-scope functionality.
  • Create detailed test scenarios and test cases covering all functional and business requirements.
  • Prepare and validate test data to ensure accuracy and availability before test execution.
  • Develop and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure complete requirements coverage.
  • Support the Test Lead in developing and maintaining the overall test plan.
  • Upload and maintain test cases in the designated test management tool.
  • Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Document test results with appropriate screenshots, dates, timestamps, and supporting evidence while ensuring PII is properly masked.
  • Identify, document, and report defects with detailed reproduction steps, test data, screenshots, and supporting information.
  • Retest defects after fixes and execute impacted test cases to confirm resolution.
  • Track and document application downtime in the designated downtime tracker.
  • Identify testing risks, issues, and dependencies and communicate their potential impact to the Test Lead and Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain test execution and defect management dashboards to provide project status and testing metrics.
  • Manage multiple testing activities and priorities while meeting project deadlines.
  • Participate in defect triage, status meetings, and project discussions as required.
  • Ensure testing activities follow established QA standards, processes, and documentation requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience testing large and complex ADMS/OMS systems.
  • Hands-on experience with utility OMS/ADMS applications.
  • Experience with GEV ADMS v3.11 or higher is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience creating and executing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
  • Strong functional, integration, system, and regression testing experience.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience preparing test data and documenting detailed test evidence.
  • Strong defect management and root-cause investigation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with GEV ADMS.
  • Experience with utility operations, electric distribution, OMS, or ADMS environments.
  • Knowledge of utility business processes and outage management workflows.
  • Experience working on OMS/ADMS upgrades, migrations, or implementations.
  • Experience with test dashboards, execution metrics, and defect reporting.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
