What is an IT Test Manager?

IT Test Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the testing phase of software development or IT projects. They plan, coordinate, and manage testing activities to ensure software products meet quality standards before release. Their duties include creating test strategies, managing testing teams, allocating resources, and communicating results to stakeholders. IT Test Managers also ensure that any defects are identified and resolved efficiently, helping to deliver reliable technology solutions.

How does an IT Test Manager typically collaborate with development and QA teams during a software project?

An IT Test Manager plays a key role in fostering communication between development and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle. They coordinate test planning, ensure that testing requirements align with project goals, and facilitate regular meetings to address issues or changes. By acting as a bridge, the Test Manager helps resolve defects quickly, keeps everyone updated on testing progress, and ensures that both teams work towards delivering a high-quality product on schedule.
