G.A. West & Co. is seeking an IT Tech for a full-time career opportunity in Creola, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a background in Information Technology, will be self-motivated, and always up for a challenge! A problem solver that is willing to learn and grow with an expanding and purpose driven organization. Sets high expectations for themselves and is responsive and proactive on all fronts.
Responsibilities
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
  • Manage user accounts and permissions on Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Office 365 platform: Entra, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Troubleshoot user issues
  • Serve as first level helpdesk technician and respond to tickets
  • Escalate issues, as necessary, to higher level support personnel
  • Provide quick and effective assistance related to information technology systems
  • Maintain networks and computer systems
  • Maintain hardware, software and process documentation
  • Provide support via phone, email, or chat
  • Help identify and eliminate security risks
  • Update malware protection devices to prevent viruses or computer hacking
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, and Windows 11 and Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of networked printing systems and Cisco based networks
  • Diagnostic skills for technical issues
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Power BI experience/knowledge is a plus

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in an IT position providing troubleshooting and support.
