Job description

Overview

The IT Systems Administrator is an in-person hands-on technical role responsible for maintaining and supporting Joy Baking Group’s enterprise infrastructure across corporate offices and manufacturing plants. This individual ensures system uptime, network reliability, and smooth day-to-day operations while coordinating with managed service providers (MSPs), vendors, and internal business teams. This position requires strong practical experience in Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365 management, networking, and virtualization, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in both on-prem and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server, SQL, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Share and Group Policy
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, and user access controls, including Single Sign-On (SSO) systems
  • Maintain and monitor local servers, storage, backups, and virtualization hosts Hyper-V and Azure Local
  • Perform rack-and-stack, cable management, and hardware replacements for local datacenter and plant systems
  • Troubleshoot network cabling and assist with connectivity improvements as needed
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN, and wireless issues, coordinating with MSP or remote network teams
  • Serve as the on-site liaison between remote IT teams, MSP vendors, and facility staff for maintenance and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with MSP for escalated support, system maintenance, and user issue resolutionAssist with changeovers, new site IT setups, and system migrations to minimize business disruption
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards and enforce physical and environmental controls in IT spaces
  • Interact with Vendors and end user for troubleshooting and incident management
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for field IT and helpdesk teams across manufacturing and office locations
  • Respond to alerts or issues identified by SOC, coordinating with vendors or the internal Security Engineer as required
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell or equivalent scripts for automation, monitoring, and reporting
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and asset inventories
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical alerts or after-hours outages
Essential Functions

  • Able to kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and lift >20lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Must be organized and maintain work area
  • Ability to work under the pressure of, and meet, deadlines
  • Able to travel up to 10% to other Joy Baking Group sites
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in systems administration or infrastructure support
  • Strong technical expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Experience managing Azure AD, Intune, SSO integrations, and hybrid identity environments
  • Proficiency with Hyper-V and/or Azure virtualization, including backup and restore procedures
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, VPN, Wi-Fi, and cabling
  • Experience collaborating with MSPs or external vendors for system support and escalations
  • Experience using ITSM tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing or multi‑site enterprise environment preferred
  • Cisco Meraki networking experience (switches, firewalls, wireless) is a plus
  • Scripting background (PowerShell, Python, or similar) for automation and systems management
  • SQL knowledge for reporting, queries, and integration with business systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, plant‑floor connectivity, or OT/IT coordination
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator (MS-102), or CompTIA Network+
Pay Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
