Job description

GARNEY

An IT Support Technician II position is available at Garney. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support for employee-owners across offices, jobsites, and remote locations. As an IT Support Technician II, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex technology issues, support enterprise systems and technology deployments, and serve as a key resource for maintaining reliable IT operations while contributing to process improvements, cybersecurity initiatives, and end-user success.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and connectivity issues
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex support requests and assist with issue resolution across the organization
  • Support employee-owners across offices, jobsites, and remote work environments
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and recommendations within the IT ticketing system
  • Assist with endpoint management, device deployment, software distribution, compliance monitoring, and patch management
  • Support workstation lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, upgrades, and retirement
  • Serve as a technical resource for office and jobsite technology, including networking, printers, conferencing systems, and connectivity solutions
  • Support cybersecurity, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives
  • Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to process improvements and technical documentation
  • Participate in technology deployments, office builds, hardware refreshes, and jobsite mobilizations while mentoring junior support staff
  • Travel as needed to support office and jobsite technology operations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, or related technical roles
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, endpoint devices, and business applications
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, conferencing technologies, and connectivity issues
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking
  • Understanding of endpoint management, device provisioning, software deployment, and patch management practices
  • Ability to identify root causes, resolve complex technical issues, and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong communication, documentation, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support both technical and non-technical users
  • Understanding of information security principles and endpoint protection practices
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with endpoint management, device deployment, remote users, or construction jobsites preferred
