Job description

Fissco Supply is seeking an IT Support Specialist for our Branch Support Office located in Dallas, Texas. The IT Support Specialist provides administrative and first level technical support for IT projects and processes as well as all office equipment, phone hardware, and systems. You will become an integrated team member responsible for aiding the team regarding technical incidents, processes, and general support. This role will interface with third parties for the IT infrastructure upkeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direct and phone support for team members’ technology questions
  • Report support requests within the software vendor’s ticket management system
  • Provide team member familiarization, if necessary, to IT processes and procedures
  • Support ticket follow-up and/or escalations related to hardware/software issues or requests
  • Participate in maintaining the internal phone system and related software
  • Manage users onboarding and offboarding, including accounts and system access
  • Provide project support for a small, but complex Windows PC based network environment
  • Develop and maintain knowledgebase process statements and FAQ for team members
  • Log, track, and monitor support requests through the IT queue 
  • Review existing processes and procedures for accuracy and compliance with current work requirements
  • Provide technical support and vendor interface for all office equipment purchases, repairs, and maintenance
  • Provide oversight of branch and office facilities maintenance, repair and enhancements


Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Technology or 3 years of IT support experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of continuous hands-on experience using Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite 2007/2010
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize work, and work within competing deadlines, under sometimes stressful conditions
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work flexible work hours and be detailed oriented
  • Ability to manage several simultaneous activities with a demonstrated sense of ownership to drive activities to completion, and be successful in a collaborative environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of an overall team
  • Ability to follow instructions with high degree of accuracy, take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision or by following guidelines
  • High client service ethics and a proven record in delivering exemplary client satisfaction to external and internal client constituencies
  • Ability to exchange information and present ideas, report facts, and other information clearly and concisely
