About the Role:

Bonnell Aluminum is looking for a self-motivated, energetic IT professional with a "can-do" attitude. Ideal candidates will possess integrity, passion and a strong desire to achieve and succeed. The ability to thrive in a changing environment and demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills is crucial to this position. 

As an IT Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. You will work closely with other IT professionals to implement and maintain various technologies, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Deliver courteous and superior service and support to end-users via in person, remote connection or over the phone;

  • Interact with end users to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about Hardware and Software;

  • Gather end user information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms;

  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues involving internet connectivity, email clients, application issues, password resets, and more;

  • Research required information using available resources;

  • Identify and escalate priority issues for end users;

  • Hardware and software installation of computer hardware and network equipment;

  • Must be able work independently and be a self-starter;

  • Accurately process and record transactions using tracking software;

  • Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers as necessary;

  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.

  • Vendor Management Ability including Hardware, Software and Support 

It would be great if you had:

  • Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in information system admin, design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and documentation; office automation/productivity applications specification, installation, operation, and maintenance

  • Strong knowledge of current IT concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends

  • Good problem solving and decision making skills; ability to understand and analyze complex issues

  • Must be passionate about technology and delivering the highest level of customer service

  • Self-motivated, detail orientated, highly organized and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner with a high level of quality

  • Ability to deal effectively with customers, vendors, and peers

  • Great communication skills, ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 

  • Desire to make a difference! 

These are the technologies you need to know:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, including Windows and Windows Servers and Linux OS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft AD on premise and Azure AD infrastructure, maintenance and administration

  • Virtualized Server experience (Nutanix AHV a plus)

  • Knowledge of cloud services such as Office 365, Azure, AWS & Google Cloud 

  • Knowledge of security appliances, firewalls, routers and switches

  • Proficient with internet protocols including SFTP, NTP, DNS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP

  • Knowledge in LAN/WAN connectivity, allocation IP address, VLAN and switch port assignments and Network troubleshooting skills

  • Installation and troubleshooting of desktop client applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Vendor Applications

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise backup solutions (Cohesity Knowledge a Plus)

  • Understanding of Client and Server hardware configurations including redundancy and RAID architectures
