IT - Software Quality Analyst
Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Hybrid)
Role Overview
A senior-level Software Quality Analyst is sought to support enterprise platforms across APIs, microservices, and UI layers. This position is for a hands-on, technical professional with 8-12 years of experience who can operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role is focused on test automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and API validation, with an emphasis on strong programming and coding skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver automated API and UI testing using Java with tools like WebDriver and TestNG.
  • Perform service testing using Groovy scripting with JMeter, SoapUI, and ReadyAPI.
  • Build and implement SQL queries and validate databases using automation tools.
  • Execute microservice and REST API testing and automation, leveraging Swagger documentation for API validations.
  • Conduct Kafka topic and consumer validations.
  • Build and deploy CI automation pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Maven, and Git/Stash.
  • Leverage Selenium Grid for parallel execution of test cases across multiple browsers.
  • Develop feature files using Gherkin language for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Contribute to enterprise-level test automation frameworks as needed.
  • Conduct performance testing of APIs using NoSQL databases and performance testing tools.
  • Perform messaging and IVR testing as required.
  • Coordinate activities between US and remote testing teams.

Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Experience:
  • 8-12 years of experience in a Senior SDET or Automation Engineer role.
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation development using established frameworks and tools.
  • 5+ years of experience with REST and JSON APIs.
  • 4+ years of experience building and deploying CI systems such as Jenkins and Bamboo.
  • 2+ years of experience with messaging or IVR testing.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong hands-on coding ability in Java.
  • Proficiency with API and UI automation tools such as Selenium, REST Assured, and ReadyAPI.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools including JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, and Postman.
  • Hands-on ability in JavaScript and SQL for full-stack automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Docker, and Git.
  • Proficiency with Groovy scripting for use with tools like JMeter and SoapUI.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as Couchbase.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka.

Preferred Qualifications
  • ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based web application architecture, with an emphasis on AWS.
  • A strong understanding of concurrency, threading, algorithms, and data structures.
