Job description

Position: Technical Project Manager

Duration: 3–6-month contract

Remote: 100% remote **Must be located in the United States** - working CST hours

Pay: $60-65/HR 

This position is eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision after 60 days. In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(k) after 90 days.

Technical Project Manager (Security Remediation)

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead coordination and tracking efforts for a critical security incident remediation initiative. This role will partner with technical teams, security leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure remediation activities stay on track and risks are proactively managed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a master remediation tracker, including RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions).
  • Track workstreams, owners, dependencies, milestones, and due dates.
  • Drive accountability through regular status updates and follow-up on open items.
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, timeline impacts, and resource conflicts.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to drive remediation efforts to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners supporting the program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project status and reporting.
  • Prepare weekly executive-level updates summarizing progress, risks, and key decisions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical project management experience.
  • Experience leading complex technology, cybersecurity, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project governance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and executive reporting abilities.
  • Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar.
