Job Summary
The Sr. Director, Information Technology establishes and directs the technology-related strategies, initiatives and objectives, in line with that of the overall business. This role ensures that technology investments support the company's business objectives, drive innovation, and maintain a secure, scalable, and high-performing technology environment.
This position is located in Tulsa, OK and is required to work in the office at least 4 days per week.
Essential Functions
  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Develops and communicates a forward-looking technology vision and strategy by collaborating with operations and executive leadership to assess and understand the short- and long-term business needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the IT function by leveraging automation, standardization, and data-driven decision-making to improve operational efficiency, maximize return on technology investments, and responsibly manage costs in alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Advises executive leadership and the Board of Directors on technology opportunities, risks, and investments.
  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of technology systems, platforms, and products; oversees architecture, applications, infrastructure, IT operations, data strategy, cybersecurity and AI.
  • Ensures the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of all technology systems; implements best-practice processes for software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Establishes policies for data governance, cybersecurity, AI, IT service management, and business continuity.
  • Leads enterprise IT governance and portfolio management to align technology investments with business outcomes by convening an IT steering committee to prioritize the portfolio, setting business aligned objectives, and measuring value realization across programs.
  • Owns enterprise cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and data privacy management-ensuring adherence to applicable governmental regulations (e.g., SOX compliance)
  • Plays a leading role in defining the continuing evolution of the organization's ERP capabilities, business applications, data security and overall infrastructure required to meet the changing business needs of the enterprise.
  • Leads the organization in the implementation of a multi-tiered, multi-platform technology infrastructure, ensuring that the Company's business and IT needs are met.
  • Champion a customer-centric IT service desk culture by establishing clear service standards, measuring performance and satisfaction, and ensuring employees receive professional, effective, and consistent technology support.
  • Develops and manages the IT budget/forecast and works with operations to ensure their support and buy-in; drives cost optimization efforts and resource planning.
  • Directs, and actively participates in, the negotiation, selection, and ongoing management of a large number of vendors and suppliers that serve IT and the broader organization to support business efficiency and innovation.
  • Manages, motivates, and develops a high-performing IT management team and staff; ensures adequate staffing levels to support the business demands/growth; and fosters strong collaboration and team building within the department and across the organization.
  • Directs, and actively participates in, the technology assessment of potential business acquisitions, mergers or divestitures.
  • Interfaces with executive and operations leadership, employees, customers, vendors and suppliers, as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • 10+years of progressive management experience in IT business leadership, planning, forecasting and strategy.
  • Experience in the construction industry or a related industrial service business a plus.
  • Strategic and visionary thinking.
  • Background in cybersecurity governance, AI and risk management.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact and work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large, diverse technology teams.
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable architectures and managing complex technical environments.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, software development methodologies, and data management.
  • Experience developing technology integration plans resulting from acquisitions and operational efficiency integration.
  • Experience in change management, particularly in fast-paced environments with overlapping projects/deliverables.
  • Extensive understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes and standards and their impact on project activities.
  • Demonstrated business administration skills, including solid understanding of financial operations, business development and management.
  • Willingness to travel as needed/required.
