About the role:

The main function of the Sr. IT Project Manager (Systems) is to successfully plan, execute, implement, and deliver complex IT projects on time, on budget, and within scope. The Sr. IT Project Manager will provide oversight, drive resources, and steer the delivery of assigned IT projects. Operating in a fast-paced, collaborative and in-office environment, you will bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution

What you will do:

  • Plan, deliver, manage, and close IT projects, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to scope, and alignment with budget and schedule constraints.
  • Develop complex project plans, encompassing resources, timelines, milestones, and budgets, and share them with project stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope by identifying and addressing changes during the project lifecycle through proper change management.
  • Coordinate with resources to ensure the timely completion of all project tasks.
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and develop contingency plans when necessary.
  • Monitor and track project progress, prepare project status reports, and facilitate status meetings for managers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Confidently lead with strong communication skills, inspiring participants across all levels and fostering collaboration towards a shared objective.
  • Evaluate project performance, recommend improvements for future projects, and ensure lessons learned are documented and shared with the team.
  • Maintain and update all project documentation as required, in compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Analyzes project data and makes informed decisions regarding project direction and execution.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information science, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • PMP certification is highly preferred (or must be obtained within 18 months of hire).
  • 3+ years of dedicated project management experience, specifically managing Infrastructure or Enterprise Application projects.
  • Knowledgeable in project management principles and practices (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of IT functions and data center operations, including:
    • systems/storage architecture - on-premise or cloud VMs, physical servers, storage systems
    • application and user systems - Microsoft 365, third-party applications, identity management
    • security concepts - security tools, compliance and standards, data and network security, incident response, pen testing, threat intelligence
    • networking architecture - firewalls, routers, switches, WAN, LAN, WLAN
  • Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, analytical thinker, and problem solver, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong people and leadership skills able to drive/motivate cross-functional technical teams to accomplish tasks amidst various challenges and tight timelines.
  • Enthusiastic and accountable, coupled with a commitment to quality in all project work.
  • Self-motivated professional able to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, while working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between$66,375 - $88,500. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
