IT Project Manager- Site Construction and Technology Enablement
Cottonwood Heights, UT- hybrid schedule: 2 days remote and 3 days in the office
12+ month contract
$54.50- $83 an hour Immediate hire for IT Project Manager. Ideal candidate will be a hands-on, senior industrial-sector IT Project Manager with experience delivering technology workstreams for the construction and commissioning of manufacturing, chemical, processing, or major capital project environments. Should bring deep experience managing SAP deployments, site infrastructure, network build-outs, CMMC-related requirements, System Integrator partners, and business stakeholders through operational handover and production startup. Must have direct accountability for project scope, budget, forecasting, risks, issues, timelines, governance, and vendor management. Will be working closely with the IT Program Manager and be responsible for project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, resource planning, risk and issue management, vendor coordination, governance, and executive reporting across multiple concurrent workstreams. Will require a delivery-focused project manager who can drive complex technology projects from initiation through closure while partnering with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Architecture, Procurement, Legal, Finance, business stakeholders, and external implementation partners.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale IT initiatives.
  • Demonstrated accountability for project scope, schedules, budgets, financial controls, forecasting, resource planning, risks, issues, dependencies, change management, governance, and executive reporting.
  • Experience leading IT activities associated with construction and commissioning of a manufacturing facility, including site communications and network infrastructure.
  • Experience managing critical-path dependencies across SAP, non-SAP applications, data, cybersecurity, and infrastructure workstreams.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar investments.
  • Experience delivering engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, network, or enterprise platform initiatives.
  • Experience managing System Integrator partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within a formal portfolio or PMO environment.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, consulting partners, Statements of Work, deliverables, and contractual obligations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a construction environment where priorities change rapidly.
  • Experience supporting transition from project delivery to business-as-usual support.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 and Level 2 compliance initiatives.
  • Experience in mining, manufacturing, industrial, energy, critical infrastructure, or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed teams across North America and Australia.
  • Strong understanding of dependencies between construction, operations, operational technology (OT), and information technology (IT).
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
