Job Summary:
ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, is seeking an IT Project Manager to successfully plan, execute, implement, and deliver IT projects. The role involves managing project scope, coordinating resources, implementing risk management strategies, and serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver, manage, and close IT projects, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to scope, and alignment with budget and schedule constraints.
• Develop project plans, encompassing resources, timelines, milestones, and budgets, and share them with project stakeholders.
• Manage project scope by identifying and addressing changes during the project lifecycle through proper change management.
• Coordinate with resources to ensure the timely completion of all project tasks.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and develop contingency plans when necessary.
• Monitor and track project progress, prepare project status reports, and facilitate status meetings for managers and stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, and addressing any concerns or issues.
• Confidently lead with strong communication skills, inspiring participants across all levels and fostering collaboration towards a shared objective.
• Evaluate project performance, recommend improvements for future projects, and ensure lessons learned are documented and shared with the team.
• Maintain and update all project documentation as required, in compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Collaborators closely with senior members of the team to analyze project data and assists with make informed decisions regarding project direction and execution.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• PMP certification required within the first two years of joining the company.
• Minimum of 1+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Knowledgeable in basic project management principles and practices (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
• Fundamental knowledge and basic understanding of IT functions and data center operations, including: networking architecture – IPv4 and OSI model, firewalls, routing and switching, unified communications, systems/storage architecture – on-premise or cloud VMs, physical servers, storage systems.
• Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, analytical thinker, and problem solver, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong people and leadership skills able to drive/motivate cross-functional technical teams to accomplish tasks amidst various challenges and tight timelines.
• Enthusiastic and accountable, coupled with a commitment to quality in all project work.
• Self-motivated professional able to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, while working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
