Position Summary

The MV IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects that support business objectives. This role manages cross-functional teams, coordinates resources, oversees budgets and schedules, mitigates risks, and ensures successful implementation of IT initiatives. The ideal candidate has at least five years of project management experience leading infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, software implementation, and digital transformation projects.


Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end management of IT projects from initiation through closure.
  • Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Manage project scope and execute change management processes when necessary.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project sponsors and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering committee reviews.
  • Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate critical issues and conflicts appropriately.
  • Track dependencies and maintain project issue logs and risk registers.
  • Ensure projects comply with organizational governance standards.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditures and resource utilization.

Technology Delivery

  • Oversee implementation of technology solutions including:
    • Cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
    • Infrastructure and network projects
    • Cybersecurity initiatives
    • Business applications and system integrations
    • Microsoft 365 and collaboration technologies
  • Ensure successful testing, deployment, training, and project transition to operations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation and governance artifacts.
  • Track and report key project metrics, milestones, and KPIs.
  • Conduct lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience.
  • Demonstrated success delivering multiple concurrent technology projects.
  • Experience managing projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience managing vendor-led implementations and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
