Job Description

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for aligning technology and development resources against the business objectives. It is a top-level staff position that has comprehensive knowledge and status of all IT projects at all times. This position understands and advises on how each project relates to each other as well as each business. The Senior Project Manager will have oversight and governance on all IT projects as well as be the main project manager for complex projects. In addition, the senior project manager will be responsible for ensuring Global project reporting requirements are met as required. This person is seen as the go-to person for information on all projects in the project pipeline

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years' experience in direct IT project management, including all aspects of project development and delivery implementation
  • 5 plus years of knowledge of Investment Industry (Buy-Side, Mutual fund, Institutional)
  • Strong proficiency in Project Management Methodology (Six Sigma, etc)
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering large projects in both local and global perimeters
  • Background in any of software development, architecture, testing, and/or business analysis
  • Experience with complex SDLC methodologies (example: Agile, etc)
  • Strong proficiency with project management software, (Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc) to provide visibility to all levels of management and stakeholders
  • Ability to lead multiple teams in a priority changing, high pressure environment
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Ability to define business requests/issues, then identify strategies for resolution
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate the ability to be focused and results oriented.
  • Effective ability to drive project related risks and issues to resolution.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience
  • B.S in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
