Their role often involves risk assessment, resource allocation, and identifying areas for process improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an IT Project Analyst?

To thrive as an IT Project Analyst, you need strong analytical abilities, project management knowledge, and a background in information technology, often complemented by a relevant degree or certification like CompTIA Project+ or PMP. Job description

Overview

We need an ambitious, curious leader to become a Project Analyst on the Technology Team to help drive the biggest change in the companyโ€™s history.

Responsibilities

The Role

You will join a small, newly formed, and highly visible Transformation Office responsible for leading the companyโ€™s most strategic, enterpriseโ€‘wide transformation initiatives. These programs are complex, missionโ€‘critical, and backed by multiโ€‘millionโ€‘dollar investments. As a key driver within the Transformation Office, you will translate strategy into executionโ€”turning transformational vision into measurable outcomes and sustained business impact.

The Next Phase

Our mission is to provide those services for as many people as we can. To achieve that we need to evolve. We need to boldly embrace innovation and technology. Your leadership will help us deliver on our mission together and achieve our transformation. If you are drawn to an environment that values purpose as much as potential, we invite you to join us.

Position Responsibilities

  • Track and report on IT project performance, including actual vs. spend, forecasted costs, delivery milestones, and KPI progress
  • Monitor financial performance across IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with budgets, forecasts, and expected value realization
  • Consolidate updates from Transformation Office, Initiative Leads (including Product Owners and Scrum Masters), Finance and COE Managers into executiveโ€‘ready reporting
  • Identify, analyze, and elevate delivery risks, dependencies, and performance gaps
  • Prepare standardized metrics reports and dashboards for Steering Committee, Technology Leadership, and executive stakeholders to support governance and decisionโ€‘making
  • Partner with Finance to validate financial data, including capital vs. expense spend, labor, and vendor costs
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of reporting across the IT portfolio, including adherence to PMO standards and governance frameworks
  • Support reporting across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Participate in recurring forums (e.g., IT Transformation standโ€‘ups, finance reviews) to surface insights and ensure alignment

Core Competenciesโ€” How You Will Contribute

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret financial and delivery data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking (including Capital vs. Expense and Operating Expense)
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Ability to create clear, concise, and executiveโ€‘ready reports and dashboards
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reporting, data validation, and reconciliation
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate technical and financial information into clear insights for nonโ€‘technical stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Management: Effective collaboration with IT, Finance, PMO, and business leaders
  • Risk Awareness: Proactive identification and escalation of risks and issues
  • Adaptability: Ability to operate in fastโ€‘paced, evolving IT and transformation environments
Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in IT project reporting, PMO, financial analysis, or technology program support
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting IT projects or transformation initiatives in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments
  • 3-5 years of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • 3-5 years of experience with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Clarity) preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience tracking IT financials, including resource costs, vendor spend, and infrastructure investments

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Power BI and SQL analytics to track adoption, workforce readiness, and transformation KPIs, translating insights into executiveโ€‘ready reporting
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Jira and Confluence to support agile delivery, transformation governance, and change documentation
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar workโ€‘management tools to coordinate crossโ€‘functional initiatives and track transformation milestones
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for leadership communications, dashboards, and reporting

How Youโ€™ll Work

  • Work Solution: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday) or Remote (USA)
  • Relocation Eligibility: Available

What We Bring to the Table

  • Hybrid work environment that promotes workโ€‘life balance
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage starting from your first day
  • Employer 401k match and employer contribution to a pension plan
  • Generous PTO and paid parental leave to support your family needs
