Job description

PLEASE NOTE: Based on the current hiring restrictions, selectees may be subject to additional approvals prior to an offer being extended.

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Information Assurance Division. As an IT Program Manager, you will support and maintain the bureau's compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

Qualifications:You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
- Led and managed an organization wide Information Technology Security and Information Assurance Program, including knowledge of information security standards and regulatory requirements such as Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST), International Organization Standard (ISO) 27001, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable government or industry frameworks.
- Directed multidisciplinary cybersecurity staff responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of cybersecurity governance and compliance functions.
- Collaborated with and advised senior leadership, staff, and stakeholders to establish strategic direction for Information Technology Security and Information Assurance Program initiatives.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must meet proficiency levels in each of the following competencies:
Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Decision Making, Information Management, Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Problem Solving, Teamwork, and Technical Competence.
