Job description

Information Technology-Operational Technology (IT-OT), System Operations Administrator is responsible for installing, managing, and upgrading systems and servers within the IT-OT environment of ENGIE NA. This position will also be responsible for managing data security, configuring user access, and maintaining the stability of the systems as well as daily management of the installed physical virtual environments. Additionally, this position will maintain proper documentation and reporting to ensure full NERC CIP compliance. Position will maintain system configuration and on-going support and management tasks related to the ENGIE NA Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) - Industrial Control System (ICS). To ensure success as an IT-OT System Operations Administrator, position applicant should have and in-depth knowledge of Linux as well as Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance and the ability to solve complex IT issues.

  • Installing, upgrading and the maintaining of Linux & Windows systems and servers, with the main focus on having strong Linux skills.
  • System patching, Performing the steps necessary to keep current with OS security and hardware firmware patches.
  • Routine travel to key plant sites to install, maintain local IT systems, and servers as well as support local plant personnel with said IT systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux based directory/LDAP structures will be necessary along with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Providing technical support for IT-OT servers and systems, both Linux and Windows mixed environment.
  • Troubleshooting system and server errors and review system error logs and OT user-reported errors.
  • Ensure and manage IT-OT system servers are properly backed up and retained for a supplied time frame.
  • Remote support of server infrastructure for remote offices and plant sites to ensure optimal performance.
  • Advocating Cybersecurity and ensuring all Cybersecurity and company security policies are enforced for IT-OT systems and comply with NERC CIP Compliance.
  • NERC CIP Knowledge and certification(s) is a plus
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Server Operations. Experience with Operational Technology(OT)/Industry Control Systems (ICS) is a plus.
  • Strong computer and networking skills and thorough knowledge of networking concepts, principals, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of Linux distributions and servers, Microsoft Windows OS technology
  • Familiarity of virtual server environments in private and public cloud (i.e. Microsoft Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of OS patching capabilities. Ivanti System Operations skill is a plus.
  • Strong networking security skills and a thorough knowledge of network security concepts, principals, and best practices
  • Understanding and compliance of NERC CIP standards, process and controls and participate in SCADA Network security assessments and audits is a plus
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation Salary Range:

$88,800 – $136,045 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
