Job description

Moore & Van Allen PLLC is a prominent law firm of more than 400 attorneys with offices in the Carolinas. This full-time position, located in our Charlotte, NC office, will assist the IT Manager-Operations & Compliance with tasks and projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Keeping an accurate inventory of spare network equipment, equipment in repair status and equipment ready to be deployed
  • Maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting the firm’s printers, scanners, and multi-function devices (copiers) including software components; Also procuring and installing such equipment
  • Maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting the firm’s desktop computer hardware
  • Receiving inventorying, documenting serial numbers and other critical data for new equipment
  • Managing leased computer hardware inventory
  • Handling tasks and projects assigned by the managers of this position
  • Answering routine questions from IT staff or users in regard to configuration of equipment
  • Communicating with vendors
  • Assist in the coordination, scheduling and technical support of web meetings (Zoom, WebEx, etc.).
  • Assists with the administration of the firm’s RingCentral account by processing moves, adds, and changes; assisting users with technical issues; assigning and supporting conferencing accounts; etc.
  • Regular and in-person attendance is required to perform essential functions of this interactive position.

What We're Looking For:

  • The successful candidate will have earned a High School Diploma or the equivalent; experienced applicants preferred but not required.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems logically by applying methods taught during training and through educational opportunities.
  • Must have knowledge of MS Windows line of server software, including Microsoft print server in a client-server and Citrix (terminal server) environment, PC hardware and printers with working knowledge of Dell, IBM and Hewlett-Packard personal computers.
